Homemade french fries are simple enough, and if you don't want to fry them, just bake them! It is very easy and you can do all sorts of seasonings on them!
Directions
Cut potatoes into long strips or wedges and place in a gallon bag. Add just enough olive oil to coat the potatoes evenly. Add the seasonings a little at a time, closing the bag and shaking each time, until seasoned well. Place sealed bag in the fridge to marinate for about an hour.
Preheat oven to 400 F. On a baking sheet with sides, dump contents of the bag and spread the fries evenly over the pan. Bake for 35-45 minutes*, turning the fries over every 10 minutes or so. Serve with a burger or just as a snack!
*Depending on desired softness you may not want them cooked that long. Taste one after 30 minutes and see if you want it cooked more than that, or wait until you can easily poke a fork through them.
