I married my best friend on May 24th, 2014 and, much to the dismay of friends and family, we moved away shortly after that. I was cramming in as much friend and family time as I could before Dan and I left, not knowing when we would see anyone again. One friend I was spending time with shared my love of Harry Potter.
While hanging out at her house one day we were scrolling through Pinterest (what else would friends do?), particularly my Harry Potter board. I was showing her all sorts of clothes I found related to Harry Potter, saying how I would wear every one of them proudly. We laughed and hung out for a while more before I left.
I didn't give any more thought to that particular conversation, but she did. A couple of weeks later she texted me saying she had a going away present for me and that I should come over. I went the next day and she handed me a pink bag with pink tissue paper. Inside it was this:

BEST. GIFT. EVER.
I can't quite remember, but I think I squealed a bit. This was my first Harry Potter shirt and I treasure it! Apparently she just went to a local store and had them stick the letters on. Super simple, but it was still a creative gift! I utilize the lime green-ness of it and wear it when I ride my bike places. It makes me very visible and therefore cars don't hit me.
I totally wasn't expecting to get the shirt and I am very happy I own it. It was very simple, but it was still inspired and creative, which is what this blog is all about! Sometimes the easy gifts are the most treasured!
